Dann jumped at Sky Blues move

Fri 01 Feb, 05:45 PM

Scott Dann has admitted his heart was set on a move to Coventry as soon as he heard of the Sky Blues' interest in him.The 20-year-old centre-half moved to the Ricoh Arena from Walsall for an undisclosed fee late on transfer deadline day, becoming the second Saddlers player within a week to join the club after Dan Fox's arrival on Monday.

"I only found out about Coventry's interest a few days ago, but as soon as I found out an offer had been made to Walsall I wanted to come here," Dann told Coventry's official website.

"It was what the manager had to say that impressed me the most. We sat down and he told me what he felt I was good at and areas where he believes I can improve. He has big ambitions for the club and that was the main attraction.

"It is a step up for me. I can't wait to test myself in the Championship and hopefully improve as a player.

"I spoke to Dan (Fox) before I decided to come and he said it is a really good club and he has had no problems settling in."
