Charlton boss Alan Pardew has added new loan signing Greg Halford to his squad ahead of Saturday's trip to Glanford Park to face Scunthorpe.Halford, who can play in defence or midfield, has joined the Addicks until the end of the season from Sunderland, with skipper Andy Reid moving in the other direction.

Halford is likely to have to settle for a place on the bench, with boss Alan Pardew set to stick with the side which beat Stoke 1-0 in midweek.

Defender Sam Sodje is still missing with the hand injury he suffered in a domestic accident, so Paddy McCarthy and Madjid Bougherra continue at the back.

Ben Thatcher is back in training following knee surgery but is short of match fitness and Cory Gibbs (foot) is still out.
