Notts County manager Ian McParland could hand a debut to new signing Ryan Jarvis when Grimsby visit Meadow Lane on Saturday.The 21-year-old, who is the cousin of County captain Adam Tann, has joined the club on loan from Norwich for the remainder of the season.

McParland will be without Felix Bastians, who has made the short journey back to Nottingham Forest following the end of his loan spell.

The German winger admitted he has spoken to the County boss about returning on loan so that he can help the Magpies secure their Football League status.

"I have definitely enjoyed myself here and I would be happy to stay," Bastians told the club's official website."

Guy Branston has been released after his month-long contract with the club expired.
