Gregory Vignal has been ruled out of Southampton's trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace but Marek Saganowski is in line to return.Left-back Vignal suffered a broken arm during Tuesday night's defeat by Norwich and is facing a month on the sidelines.
Polish striker Saganowski, meanwhile, came through a reserve game in midweek following a month out with a hamstring injury and could start following Grzegorz Rasiak's move to Bolton.
Youssef Safri could also be available after Morocco were eliminated from the African Nations Cup.
Centre-half Darren Powell is fit after a calf injury but right-back Alexander Ostlund is still struggling with a thigh problem.
Andrew Davies should play despite an ankle injury, but fellow defenders Claus Lundekvam (ankle) and Chris Makin (hip) are still out along with back-up goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski (back) and winger Nathan Dyer is still recovering from ankle surgery.
