Stephen Bywater, David Norris and Velice Sumulikoski could all make their Ipswich debuts against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.Boss Jim Magilton finally landed Norris on deadline day from Plymouth and the midfielder could start along with goalkeeper Bywater, who has joined from Derby.
Midfielder Sumulikoski also arrived at Portman Road this week from Turkish club Bursaspor and is also vying to be involved.
Magilton, meanwhile, remains without full-back Luis Castro Sito as he sits out the second game of a three-match ban while midfielder Liam Trotter serves the final match of his three-game suspension.
Town will also be without the services of goalkeeper Shane Supple and striker Billy Clarke after the pair joined Falkirk on loan for the rest of the season.
Goalkeeper Nick Colgan will act as cover to Bywater after signing a short-term deal with the Tractor Boys.
