Comment 52 - 71 of 71
give liverpool players inc Kenny dangshit diet coke
torres and carrol money well spent both managers should work for RBS
man city lost any players yet LOL "2"
torres signed for western super mare
carrol signed for anyone who will take him
Why on earth have Spurs let Corluka go mid-season on load? Now if Walker gets injured we have no cover at RB at all. And Pav may not have done the business, but is Saha really a better bet at 33?? We have a weaker squad now, not a stronger one. Poor moves in the transfer market.
sack arsen wenger save the arsenal now please.........................
to Brian comment 62 my daughter is autistic its nothing to make jokes about dont be an insensitive *******!!!!!

yep killing other humans as a profession is well deserving...
Goaline technology tries to remedy the mistakes of judgement done by referees and lines men......to me it seems as if goal allowed or disallowed but which could have been pecisely decided by goaline technology are more or less goals than those lost or awarded by any other occasion in the field of play. All goals are important and they should be considered carefully and an informed and fair decision which reflects impartiality should always prevail.Totenham lost to Man City last week because of an error( ref did not see, failure to account for all play time by Webb is contigent upon being not absolutely attentive to all actions before him). Han Man City had lost Baloteli surely Totenham could have not succumbed to ten men. It was an error far away from the realms of goaline technology but it costs Spurs a lot. Ownership of the match should be left with the referee and all these human errors makes football interesting or else we have to overhaul the entire management of the match.
Wot bwt Carlos Tervez...where is he gunna go? Why they hold him he wants to go?
@Peejay (comment 58). While I understand and agree that no big club wants to loan out their best players I'd hazard a guess that Tottenham are paying Adebayor's massive wage bill. I might be wrong but I think Ade's wages are in the region of £4-5 million a year, so that's just sensible business, even for the richest club in the world. Also, maybe he desired to go, a top footballer who really does want to play will be off like a shot to another top club.
Your quote, "It is sickening to see players who are contracted to any club go to another on loan and play better than they could be bothered to do at their "home" club". Adebayor's hardly in that category, he scored a barrel load for Man City, then when Mancini brought in new players he fell down the pecking order. He went to Real Madrid no less and was successful, only to be instructed to train with the reserves on his return. Can you blame him from going to Tottenham to fight for a top three position?
Wayne Bridge to Sunderland - not really the same situation. I understand the whole 'every goal counts' thinking, but one man does not make a team. Sunderland are picking up the pieces and Bridge hasn't been performing for a while.
However, what I do find laughable and self-righteous are the following comments:
" If those teams don't have the money to buy the players... then make them sit it out in the reserves"
"Why should make-weight sides in the PL get the benefit of paying a pittance towards a top-class player's wages and play them as if they own them?"
It was only a few years ago that Man City were in such positions and were make-weights. They would have jumped at getting a loan deal out of Man U, Chelsea or the like. Don't forget where you guys came from, football is fickle and these 'owners' play with clubs like children of yester-year played with train sets. They might one day get bored or o
There are several reasons players go out on loan. If the players aren't getting regular first team games, it may help them to shape up, that little bit quicker. The team to whom they are loaned out, pay their wages, which may well be a big help to some of those teams, without wealthy backers.
@50 (Michael) don't you mean the "racist assassin" Suarez....?
Why are we (Man City) loaning out players to clubs - Adebayor to Spurs, Bridge to Sunderland, etc?? If those teams don't have the money to buy the players and the players can't get a first team place (or even a regular subs bench place) then make them sit it out in the reserves until they do. It is sickening to see players who are contracted to any club go to another on loan and play better than they could be bothered to do at their "home" club. There are even some cheeky b*stards trying to tee up a loan deal for Tevez. Incredible given his obvious lack of loyalty to the team that paid him a small fortune, gave him everything he could ever want only to see it thrown back at them. Man City is NOT a charity and it's about time Mancini spelled it out for the players we have who don't want to sweat blood for the team. I'll give Ferguson his due, I don't think he'd loan out "first team" / international class players to anyone. It is not enough to have a contractual obligation not to play against their "home" team because every goal they score is effectively helping the opposition. Why should make-weight sides in the PL get the benefit of paying a pittance towards a top-class player's wages and play them as if they own them? Personally, I would like to see either a limit on the number of games that loan players can play in or a ban on loaning players altogether.
Nightmare for Falkirk, some great young talent going to Huddersfield. Hope they got good money.
Arsene W ...there is still 46 mins left to save your job AND your season...
53 LES Here Here, things will only get worse with this year of none stop sports. I,m stocking up with DVD,s
Football Hhmm,
If someone wants to pay me £250,000 per week I would have attended the world cup and not scored any goals either,
Why oh why is this unimportant drivel on the news pages.
Put it on sport page, then we can ignore it if we wish.
