Dean Saunders hailed the battling spirit of his Doncaster side following the goalless Yorkshire derby with Hull.
Rovers ended a run of six successive away defeats, but were fortunate to escape the KC Stadium with a point after City were kept at bay by inspired visiting goalkeeper David Button, who made a string of saves to deny Corry Evans, Cameron Stewart and Robert Koren.
Doncaster remain in the bottom three, five points from safety with 14 games to play.
"It's a good result for us considering the week we have had and that's three clean sheets in four games," said Saunders, who lost top scorer Billy Sharp to Southampton on the eve of transfer deadline day amid boardroom uncertainty at the Keepmoat Stadium.
"The boys are scrapping and fighting and coming to Hull where we have lost eight on the trot was tough.
"I thought we were brilliant and we battled and David Button has made some good saves. I just felt we haven't had the rub of the green away from home and they had chances and we rode our luck, but I can't praise my players enough."

"Rub of the green" You were slaughtered Dean and the goalkeeper got you a point.
Douf is the only really good player you have and he is a tosser.
Still I hope Donny stay up so good luck to ya.
