Sat 01 Mar, 08:30 PM

Stockport notched their seventh straight away win as Liam Dickinson's penalty saw them beat Hereford 1-0 at Edgar Street.Dickinson notched up his 12th goal of the season when he beat Hereford goalkeeper Wayne Brown with a low shot into the corner of the net.

The Hatters were the more positive side in the opening stages with Dickinson causing all sorts of problems for the Hereford defence.

But Hereford should have taken the lead midway through the half when Theo Robinson and Ben Smith had clear chances to break the deadlock.

The Hatters deservedly went in front in the 54th minute when Dickinson scored from the penalty spot after being fouled by John McCombe in the area.

Hereford made a double substitution in a bid to get back in the game, with Trevor Benjamin heading wide of the far post.
