Scotland nets to stretch Swans run

Jason Scotland hit his 21st goal of the season as Swansea equalled a club record of 18 league matches unbeaten with a 1-0 win at Huddersfield.The Trinidad & Tobago international pounced on Alan Tate's flick-on from Ferrie Bodde's corner to give Roberto Martinez's side victory in first-half stoppage time.

Swansea thoroughly deserved to go in front at the interval having dominated proceedings, with Andy Robinson a constant thorn in Huddersfield's side. The midfielder twice went close to giving the Swans the lead but was denied by Huddersfield goalkeeper Matt Glennon.

Luke Beckett had a penalty appeal for the hosts turned down by referee Michael Oliver as Huddersfield pressed for an equaliser after the break. Town striker Phil Jevons forced Dorus de Vries to tip wide after 55 minutes but Swansea hung on for victory.

To compound Huddersfield's woes, Rob Page was sent off with eight minutes left after picking up his second booking of the game.
