Former England striker Teddy Sheringham is set to announce his retirement on Sunday, according to one of his old team-mates Tony Cascarino.The 41-year-old, who won 51 caps for England, has played for seven clubs including Tottenham and Manchester United, with whom he won the Champions League in 1999.
Cascarino, who played with Sheringham at his first club Millwall, wrote in The Times: "Teddy Sheringham will announce tomorrow that he will retire at the end of the season."
Sheringham, one of the stars of England's run to the Euro 96 semi-finals, is currently winding down his career with Colchester in the Championship.
