Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson believes Scott Rendell possesses all the qualities to fire the club to the League Two title.Rendell bagged a brace in Saturday's 4-0 win over Lincoln, his first goals for Posh since signing from Cambridge.
And Ferguson believes he could prove to be an able deputy for the injured Craig Mackail-Smith.
He said: "Aaron Mclean and Scott Rendell are a proper partnership.
"Scott is a very good footballer and has skills which a lot of other strikers don't have.
"The players knew what they could do against Lincoln and played with a touch of arrogance. They stuck it out and got the result."
