Tue 01 Apr, 06:45 PM

Former Barnsley boss Norman Hunter insists Simon Davey's FA Cup semi-finalists have "put the magic back" into the competition.Hunter was in charge at Oakwell between 1980 and 1984 and also enjoyed a successful spell as a player at the club from 1979 to 1982.

And Hunter is hoping the current crop can beat Cardiff on Sunday and reach the final for the first time since they lifted the famous trophy in 1912.

He told the club's official website: "Barnsley have put the magic back into the FA Cup this season.

"Seeing Barnsley, Cardiff, West Brom and Portsmouth in the semi-finals is good for football because it is about time that someone stopped the top four teams winning everything."
