Seagulls boss issues Vale warning

Tue 01 Apr, 12:45 PM

Brighton boss Dean Wilkins has warned his side not to get carried away with their recent away results when they face Port Vale on Saturday. The Seagulls have claimed creditable goalless draws at League One big-hitters Nottingham Forest and Leeds in their last two games, but Wilkins knows lowly Vale carry just as big a threat to their play-off hopes.

"Saturday is a really big game for us," he said.

"They have won their last two, so they are on a bit of a run, and will be fighting for their lives. It's a game as difficult as any we've faced in the last month. It won't be any easier than the last two away games."
