Southend boss Steve Tilson is confident his side can keep up their recent run of form as they look to gain promotion to the Championship.The Shrimpers have not lost in their last nine league games and currently sit handily placed in fourth spot as they head into the business end of the season.

Tilson, who has been nominated for March's manager of the month award on the back of the unbeaten run, is convinced his side can claim a top six finish.

"We have put ourselves into an excellent position and need to keep this run going," he told the Southend Echo.

"We want to get the points on the board as quickly as we can, especially as we have two very tough away games at the end of the month."
