Mansfield won the basement battle 2-1 and sent bottom club Wrexham closer to the relegation trap door.

Jefferson Louis opened the scoring after 51 minutes from the penalty spot and defender Johnny Mullins secured the points just three minutes later.

Marc Williams pulled one back for Wrexham but they remain rooted to the foot

of the table and now nine points off safety.

Rochdale squeezed into the last play-off spot after beating Bradford 2-1.

Substitute Adam le Fondre grabbed the winner three minutes from time after Peter Thorne's penalty looked likely to give the Bantams a draw.

David Perkins had put 'Dale ahead inside a minute.

And Darlington edged into third place on goal difference after a 0-0 draw at lowly Barnet despite the game starting late due to a floodlight failure.
