The Pittsburgh Penguins will have to wait a little longer for their first division title in a decade after falling 2-1 to the New York Rangers in overtime.
Chris Drury's powerplay goal at 1:46 of overtime moved the Rangers into a tie for fourth place in the Eastern Conference with New Jersey and a point ahead of Ottawa.
The Penguins will have to wait at least one more game for the Atlantic Division title.
"We are now one point away," Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby said. "It's tight hockey from here on in."
The Penguins, leaders in the East, hit the 100-point mark with the overtime loss and are seven points up on the Rangers and Devils.
The Penguins have two games remaining, while the Devils and have four left and the Rangers three.
After a scoreless first period Jaromir Jagr opened the scoring for the Rangers with 11:43 on the clock in the second. Max Talbot tied the score 10 minutes into the third period.
Drury took advantage of a penalty to Sergei Gonchar early in overtime to score the winner. Henrik Lundqvist made 21 saves in goal for the Rangers.
"We have been winning and taking points, but we're still close to the ninth spot," Lundqvist said.
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 25 shots for the Penguins, who can clinch the Atlantic title against Philadelphia on Wednesday.
