Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins has warned rival clubs there will be no discount prices for any of his players this summer.Adkins is already preparing his squad to challenge for an immediate return to the Championship following relegation and is desperate to retain most or all of his squad.

He said: "There will be interest in our players but most of them are under contract.

"So if anyone comes in, the club will be able to get the transfer fees that we believe are right."

On his side's failure to retain their Championship status, Adkins added: "At the start of the season the expectation was that we were going to go down.

"Then we had a good start and people started talking about us getting into the Premier League - but reality is very different."
