Teenage Charlton defender Grant Basey has signed a two-year contract extension at The Valley.The 19-year-old left-back, who made the first-team breakthrough this season, has committed himself to the Addicks until 2010.
Basey began the season on loan with Brentford before a spate of defensive injuries saw him make his Charlton debut in the 1-0 home defeat by QPR in October.
The Bromley-born youngster went on to make a further seven appearances for Alan Pardew's side, and has also received call-ups to the Wales Under-21 squad.
