Striker Febian Brandy has backed Swansea to make an impact in the Championship - with or without him in the ranks at the Liberty Stadium.Brandy has been on loan at City since mid-January and boss Roberto Martinez is hopeful Manchester United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson will allow the youngster to rejoin the newly-promoted Swans next season.
The 20-year-old, who has scored twice but has been restricted to the role of substitute, now believes Martinez has a squad at his disposal capable of challenging in the second tier of English football.
"I firmly believe Swansea can do well in the Championship," said Brandy.
"The players have the ability to play at a higher level and they play the game the right way."
Reflecting on his loan spell, Brandy added: "I had an offer to go on loan to Norwich, a Dutch club and a few others, but Sir Alex recommended Swansea. I'm glad he did because I've really enjoyed it here."
