Thu 01 May, 07:30 PM

Barnsley winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce has lost his battle to play on through the pain barrier and will now miss the Tykes' clash with Cardiff. The 25-year-old Jamaica international, a summer signing from Southend, has finally succumbed to an ankle injury and his absence in the last-day clash with the Bluebirds leaves manager Simon Davey without a winger.

Davey told the club's offical website: "Jamal has been playing with an ankle injury for the last couple of weeks. It will probably mean that he misses out on Sunday.

"Martin Devaney and Stephen Foster are also out of the game, but otherwise everybody else is fit and available."
