Veteran Oldham goalkeeper Mark Crossley has revealed he turned down an offer from Norwich to sign a new one-year deal at Boundary Park.Crossley, 38, joined the Latics on a free transfer from Fulham last summer and has made 44 appearances this term and will remain involved with the club's coaching set-up and will oversee the development of the club's young goalkeepers next season.
The former Nottingham Forest told the club's official website: "I'm very pleased to have extended my contract, and I wouldn't have done so if I didn't want to stay.
"I had the opportunity to go to Norwich as goalkeeping coach, and they also approached me midway through last season.
"But I'm very happy at Oldham and I want to keep on playing as long as I can."
