Plymouth skipper Paul Wotton is looking forward to a fresh challenge after being released by the Championship club. The 30-year-old has spent 13 years at his hometown club but is now prepared to relocate to continue his career.
He said: "I'm immensely proud of what I have achieved at Plymouth Argyle. I'm leaving behind good friends and great memories.
"But I want to emphasise how excited I am by a fresh challenge. I'm only 30, and I do believe a lot of people think I am older that that because I have been playing for so long.
"What has happened at Plymouth has been awesome but it has finished and as one door closes, another opens.
"I have had a little bit of interest already - from good clubs and am more than happy to move."
Wotton made 438 first team appearances for Plymouth, scoring 63 goals and skippering the side to the League One title and a record breaking triumph in League Two (then Division Three).
He has since captained Argyle in the Championship and played at centre back and in central midfield.
