Elite League play-off champions Sheffield Steelers have confirmed defencemen Steve Munn and Randy Dagenais will see out their two-year contracts with the club.

The pair joined Steelers last year in conjunction with the University of Sheffield, where they are completing MBA degree courses.

General manager Mike O'Connor said: "A lot of people have asked me recently about these two guys and whether or not they would be returning.

"It was always the case that both guys were here for the two years and we hope a lot longer if their form last season is anything to go by.

"Both are leaders on the ice and in the dressing room and they brought a lot of good things to the Steelers. We were only able to attract two such great players because of our tie-in with the University of Sheffield - there isn't any way we are letting either go."
