Chester wait on keeper

Fri 01 May, 01:03 PM

Chester are hoping to re-sign goalkeeper James Spencer for the visit of Darlington.

The club have received dispensation from the Football League to sign the Rochdale stopper on another seven-day loan with regular keeper John Danby still out injured, but are still awaiting the necessary paperwork to be completed.

The Blues are all but relegated after last weekend`s 2-2 draw at Aldershot and this will be their final game before dropping into the Blue Square Premier barring a mathematical miracle.

Captain Paul Linwood and striker Kevin Ellison are both expected to be fit despite slight knocks, while youngster Lloyd Ellams is again in contention for a place in the squad after scoring in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Aldershot.

But midfielder Damien Mozika will not feature for the Blues as he continues to be on club suspension while battling a hamstring problem.
