Parky wants strong finish

Fri 01 May, 02:53 PM

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson wants his side to take advantage of Norwich's relegation nerves and finish their dreadful season on a high.

The Addicks were consigned to the drop a couple of weeks ago and will bring City down with them unless the Canaries pick up all three points and Barnsley lose against Plymouth.

"I've seen Norwich's last two games and there's a lot of pressure on them," said Parkinson.

"The pressure is off us and we've got to make sure we use that to our advantage and make sure we're relaxed and composed on the ball. We'll be sending out our strongest squad, we owe it to Barnsley to do that.

"I'm glad there's something on the game as it gives it that edge. I'm sure our fans will respond to Norwich's and it will be a decent atmosphere.

"There will be a lot of tension with their supporters so we need to stay calm, get the ball down and play."

  2. "We'll be sending out our strongest squad" means that Phil will STILL not give the young players an opportunity, but will stick with the players that have got us into this mess in the first place!
