Wigan are close to signing Egypt international striker Amr Zaki in a £1.5million one-year loan deal, according to the player's agent.Latics would then have to pay an additional £4million to secure his signature on a permanent basis the following season.

Zaki's agent Nader Shawki confirmed that the deal should be done soon.

He told FilGoal.com: "Zamalek agreed to loan Zaki for one year in a deal worth £1.5million, he should sign soon.

"If Wigan want him on a permanent basis, they will have to play an additional £4million next season."

Shawki also revealed that the Egyptian club will receive £500,000 if the player reaches a 10-goal haul with Wigan next term.
