West Brom manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed he is planning an overhaul of his leaky defence ahead of the Premier League campaign in August.Albion won the Championship this season despite conceding 11 more goals than relegated Leicester, and Mowbray knows he needs to strengthen to stand any chance of staying up.
He said: "I'd like to think I know where the strengths and weaknesses of the team are.
"We lost 11 games last season and those days were very clear that we will need strengthening.
"We can't have too many days like that at Old Trafford or Anfield next season but it's difficult to find the quality and the character.
"People mention the defence - I would suggest people aren't a million miles away, we will need experience and quality to ensure we are better suited for the division we're going into."
