Mendy Not On Prem Duo's Menu

Sun 01 Jun, 06:09 PM

Paris Saint-Germain defender Bernard Mendy admits he has several Premier League suitors - but insists they are not Fulham or West Brom.

Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson is keen to bolster his defence after narrowly avoiding relegation last season, while Albion boss Tony Mowbray has openly admitted that defence is his side's 'weakness' after they shipped in more goals than relegated Leicester while winning the Championship title.

The Baggies have been linked with former defender Paul McShane and Watford giant Danny Shittu - but it appears that former Bolton defender Mendy is not on their radar.

The player is, however, keen on a return to England's top flight, with Albion's fellow Premier League new boys Hull City and Stoke City both rumoured to be monitoring his situation.

"I am open to every proposition," he told football365.fr. "In France and abroad - I will know soon. But the most concrete contacts come from England.

"I have been told about Premier League clubs but not Fulham or West Brom."
