Bert Grabsch took the overall lead in the Tour of Bavaria as Tony Martin won stage four, an individual 26 kilometre time trial in Friedberg.

CYCLING Bert Grabsch Varese - 0

Martin beat team-mate and world time trial champion Grabsch by 25 seconds, and the 24-year-old was over half-a-minute quicker than Team Milram's Linus Gerdemann

However, Grabsch still recorded a time sufficient to wrest the overall lead from Markus Eibegger.

Elk Haus rider Eibegger was two minutes, 13 seconds off Martin's pace, and dropped down to fifth in the overall standings.

Maxime Monfort, also of Columbia, and Garmin-Slipstream's David le Lay finished fourth and fifth respectively to move up to second and third in the overall table.

  1. The results I have seen put Grabsch well down in 30th on the GC and have Gerdeman in the overall lead.
