Manchester City's record signing Robinho has ruled out an imminent return to Brazil with Santos.
Robinho was the subject of speculation in his homeland as he prepared for the World Cup qualifier against Paraguay on Wednesday, but was keen to put the record straight and confirmed he would remain at Eastlands.
"I am very happy at City. Santos are the team of my heart and one day I want to go back, but not now," he told City's official website.
"I am very happy with the affection demonstrated by the fans in the final match against Bolton," he added.
"The incentives shouted by the crowd, directed at my team-mate Glauber Berti in the final minutes, demonstrated how passionate City's fans are.
"I am very happy and proud to play in a club that has such wonderful followers."

As an arsenal supporter, I hate to admit it but man city are going in the right direction. they score goals for fun!!! But they concede too many a bit like us. All they need is to strengthen their defence and get a playmaker to replace Elano, Richards was a promising CB/RB. But like every other English player they started praising him when he hadn't even accomplished anything as a footballer, there is still room for improvement he's still very young. Dunne plays his heart out for the city shirt but they won't break into the top four with him as the defence's leader. It looks like the owners are going to stick with hughes. Brilliant!!! U need consistency and respect for the manager from the players.

I think kompany has gone backwards and now looks average, but he's still quite young and can improve - De Jong looks a better player.
We need to have a few permutations rather than automatic side - I personally don't think Robinho on the left works too well, especially away from home - would rather see Bellamy or Petrov on the left and Robinho playing off someone like Santa Cruz or Gudjohnsen or on the bench at times depending on the game, which was apparently illegal at City last season.
Elano needs to be shipped out as well - talented, but only really turns it on v the poorer sides, we need players who can step up to the plate against the bigger sides. If his attitude was better, i'd say he was worth keeping as a squad member but there's too much attention focused on him and askign for a new deal is a bit cheeky with 2 yrs left.
Definitely need 1 or 2 centre halves, though
ETO will not go to Man City lol, Tevez might only if United dont pull their finger out
Man City, has to be 1 of the least desirable teams to play for in the Premier League, a bit like Pompey & Spurs!!
Although I would prefer they went to Man City than Chelsea.
Hughes just needs to go and he can take Bellamy with him. We finished ninth last season with a much worse team so I don't think Hughes has what it takes to manage a team who want to challenge the Premiership top dogs each season.
just hope hughes gets it right next season
he could have done with kick up the rear
time for all the talking to stop
city need to step up and prove their not a laughing stock
i dont agree that dunne should go
as for robhinbo its the media who want him out of city
and i wouldn`t buy tevez better players out there
only trouble is clubs ask city silly prices
WELL MANCITY NEEDS TO STEP UP THIER GAME.I WANT THEM TO SHAKE UP THE LEAGUE A BIT.THEY ARE A DECENT SIDE.AM NOT THIER FAN THO
don't know about samba, and no de jong? i think de jong will be a brilliant signing in years to come. i'd still keep richards if he gets off cloud 9 and starts playing again and stop believing all the @#$% thats been written about him. i hope we manage to keep sturridge cos he's going to be another star in a couple of years
VERY TRUE CHRIS THEY HAVE BEEN AND MAYBE ITS TIME FOR DUNNE TO TRY HIS LUCK ELSEWHERE BUT I FOR ONE WILL BE GRATEFULL FOR THE WAY HE HAS KEPT US IN TOP FLIGHT FOOTBALL BUT ALAS NOT NEXT YEAR AS WE MUST FIGHT FOR A TOP FOUR OR A TOP SIX PLACE AND THE MORE OVERSEAS PLAYERS THE PACE IS GETTIN QUICKER AND DUNNE IS A BIT SLOW
BOB.. great team! and more importantly NO DUNNE OR RICHARDS.... they,ve been good servants for City but they are not good enough for next year
RIGHTR LETS GET IT RIGHT FOR NEXT SEASON THE IDEAL TEAM SHOULD READ
GIVEN/HART
ZABELETA
TBA
SAMBA
BRIDGE
IRELAND
RO BINHO
KOMPANY
SWP
TEVEZ
BELAMY/ET'O
SO THATS THE TEAM THAT I THINK ALL CITY FANS WILL AGREE WOULD BE GOOD
