Edinburgh have secured up-and-coming quartet Mark Robertson, David Blair, Andrew Easson and Ryan Grant on two-year deals.

Robertson, Blair and prop Grant, 23, have all been capped by Scotland A while centre Easson, 22, has turned out for Scotland Sevens.

Robertson, 24, said: "With the team finishing in second place this year, we are planning to build on that success and there is no reason why we can't win the Magners League."

He added: "Hopefully we can also do well in Europe and progress through to the knockout stages of the Heineken Cup.

"I am hoping to become a more consistent performer next year and up the try tally. With more confidence, most wingers improve and I feel I've got a lot more to give."

Meanwhile, Blair, younger brother of Lions scrum-half Mike, aims to challenge Phil Godman for the number 10 jersey.

"I will keep on pushing for the stand-off position with Phil," the 23-year-old said.

"I think Phil has been playing really well this year and I've tried to learn as much as I can when I play."
