Mon 01 Jun, 03:12 PM

Tottenham have released Portuguese centre-back Ricardo Rocha after his contract expired.

The 30-year-old defender joined Spurs two and a half years ago but struggled to hold down a regular place and only made 18 appearances.

Reserve team players Simon Dawkins, Kyle Fraser-Allen, Cian Hughton, Danny Hutchins, David Hutton, Jacques Maghoma and Takura Mtandari have also been released, along with Academy players Saulo Asajile, Mark Clare, James Dalton and Ajet Shehu.

  2. "Sir" Harry needs to unload much more dead-wood than this I feel. Buy in Harry's wife she will be better than Bent and the other whooosey P...chenko! Mr Wonder goal Bantley, Ledley "watch my knee" King etc... he knows I am sure! Harry has always spent wisely throughout his managerial career but I think it is time now to be a little rash and splash out on a couple of big names that are not youngsters and have proven track records. Some examples: Frank Lampard (Not needed if Kaka goes to "The Bridge"): David Beckham who has still got a lot in the tank, lives near the training ground and adds 5,000 to every gate + endorsements: Emanuelle Adybyor, Carroll of Newcastle or someone big and strong like him (we need a Bobby Smith, Martin Chivers "Roy of the Rovers" who will chase everything and scare the @#$% out of defenders not a Emile Heskie (slow, slow, quick-quick, slow) but someone that does not give up. And as a couple of off the wall extras: Diago Forlan, Michael Owen, Frenk Ribery, Cisse if he sorts his hair out even; Rocque Santa Cruz, etc etc etc or even Zaki if Sir Harry thinks he worth the risk. Lets get into Europe next season!!!

  4. Shame because Hutton was great at rangers and due to injuries just hasn't been able to prove himself under Redknapp.
