Carlisle manager Greg Abbott is hoping to announce the completion of his first two summer signings within the "next few weeks".
Abbott, working to strengthen his squad after going close to a play-off finish this season, said he is in advanced talks with both players.
"I'm quite a way down the line in terms of getting players in and I'm certain we'll have a squad we'll be pleased with come the start of pre-season training," Abbott told the club's official website.
"I'm speaking to two players again [on Friday] who we are very close to agreeing something with and that is very positive for us.
"Due to holidays and things like that we could find that we'll have to wait a few weeks before we announce anything, but there is verbal confirmation there at the moment that they have a level of interest in coming to the club."

It would Seem some of the team want to move on .good ridance . Gregg will neeed to sign up some better players than last term not so many loan crocks would be good. true blue
