Dutch striker Bas Dost, a reported target of Premier League new boys West Ham, has joined VFL Wolfsburg.
The 23-year-old, the Eredivisie's top scorer with 32 goals for Heerenveen last season, was linked with a £7million switch to Upton Park.
However, Dost has opted to move to German side Wolfsburg where he has signed a five-year contract.
"Bas has in the last few years taken a great development," head coach Felix Magath told the club's official website.
"He is eminently prepared to take risks, a strong penalty box player who knows where the opponent's goal is."
