Stockport managing director Mark Maguire insists Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will field a strong side in the forthcoming pre-season friendly.County host the Reds on Saturday, July 26 before Manchester City visit Edgeley Park seven days later on August 2 for another plum friendly.
Maguire said: "We had a quick word with Liverpool because they advertised as a reserve fixture which it's not.
"They are committed to sending a first-team squad here by contract, so we'll be encouraging them to do that."
