Swans boss keen to snap up Brandy

Tue 01 Jul, 09:00 PM

Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a request from newly-promoted Championship outfit Swansea to take young striker Febian Brandy on loan.Brandy spent the second half of last season at the Liberty Stadium, making a major impression and scoring three times.

And with the youngster unlikely to make the breakthrough to senior ranks on a regular basis this term, Swansea boss Roberto Martinez thinks Ferguson will let Brandy leave the European champions for a limited time.

"Fabian settled in straightaway when he came to us," he told the club's website. "He loved every second of his time here and you could see him improving every day.

"He was slowly fulfilling the Premier League potential he has and now we are waiting for the go-ahead to sign him on a season-long loan.

"I have spoken to Fabian about it and I know he is very keen to come back."
