Mourinho Will Wait On Lampard

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho has seemingly abandoned his hopes of signing Frank Lampard from Chelsea this summer but claims he is "100% sure" the midfielder will make the move in 12 months' time.

The arrival of Deco at Chelsea on Monday night appeared to suggest Lampard's future may lie away from Stamford Bridge as rumours continue about the England midfielder.

However, former Blues boss Mourinho is quoted by The Sun admitting it is unlikely the 30-year-old will be at the San Siro any time soon.

"This season? I don't think so," Mourinho said.

"Why won't he? Well, it's not because we don't want him to, but I'm sure Chelsea and Chelsea's officials don't want to sell him.

"However for the next season it will be easier for him to join me at Inter.

"I'm 100% sure in 2009/2010 he will be playing here."

  1. lampard should give chelsea and scolari till january and if he is an integral part of scolari's plans then he should stay. the english league is generally much better than the italian league, and if by january it's obvious he's become a bench man then i'm sure mourinho would make him very comfortable in milan. his tallent would be great for either club to have.

I am blue blooded and in my opinion Deco is not as good as Lamps .However if he wants to go with Mr.The world doesn't go round without me (Jose Morinho)he has a right to do so .If Lamps goes to Inter he would be replaced easily here at Chelsea with that list we have of Transfers.We have no financail problems so We can afford a lot of players.I beleive that for Lamps Inter is a graveyard where you go and play in a place away from home when you can play in your own home which has the best league in the world.Lamps what are you doing?
