League Two - Walker joins Burton

Burton have signed Richard Walker on a two-year contract following the striker's release by Bristol Rovers.

The 31-year-old becomes manager Paul Peschisolido`s third signing this summer as the Canadian plans for the Brewers' life in the Football League.

"I am absolutely delighted to get a player of Richard's experience. He has got an excellent goalscoring record and played at a much higher level and he is a really nice lad," Peschisolido told Burton's website.

"Richard will undoubtedly add to what we have already got and he will definitely improve us."

Former Aston Villa trainee Walker joined Bristol Rovers in 2004 and scored 46 goals in 143 league appearances for the club.

He spent time on loan at Shrewsbury last season, scoring five goals in 27 games.
