Premier League new-boys Burnley have broken their transfer record to sign Scotland striker Steven Fletcher from Hibernian for £3 million.
The 22-year-old, who has four Scotland caps, joins the Turf Moor club for their first Premier League campaign having scored 52 goals 190 appearances at Easter Road.
Fletcher becomes the club's second signing in a day following full-back Tyrone Mears' capture.
Fletcher has agreed a four-year contract with the Clarets, who will pay the SPL club double their previous record fee having shelled out £1.5m for both Martin Paterson and Chris Eagles last year.
The forward was named Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year in 2007-08 and attracted the interest of Celtic earlier this year.
Mears, meanwhile, has signed for around £500,000 after spending time on loan at Marseille last season.
Mears, 26, is looking for a change of luck in the top flight after a shattering experience in the 2007-08 season.
He was part of the Derby side that finished bottom of the table with an all-time low tally of 11 points.

Schools in Scotland have closed for summer so it cant be that. Day release, Where I have to return at 11.30am at best that would be half day release, that would be pretty pointless so,it could'nt be that. Maybe then I had to toddle of to my past life and crimes, how and why would anyone do that. What kind of crimes are you talking about? I really do hope you're not suggesting I would participate in the kind of despicable pastimes I suspect you to be guilty of.. pinching purses off pentioners and the like.
Metz you'll wait a very long time for a debate with this particular soda brain, finding a vein is a lengthy process for Ryan but as soon as he's found one and battered his boyfriend for using his needle,he may well give it a go and if you're lucky he might even be coherent, I however must toddle back to my past life,oh yes and crimes.
HAIL HAIL!

#57 FYI I just happen to be a blue nose so your fail fail is redundant, you want a debate??? pick your topic, english history, scottish history, ulster history, but I have to warn you if you pick the last 1 am from ulster so you better be ready,or maybe you would like to discuss football???
See you sherbs, what is it day release recall or time for school, anyways toddle off to your past life and crimes
