Premier League new-boys Burnley have broken their transfer record to sign Scotland striker Steven Fletcher from Hibernian for £3 million.
The 22-year-old, who has four Scotland caps, joins the Turf Moor club for their first Premier League campaign having scored 52 goals 190 appearances at Easter Road.
Fletcher becomes the club's second signing in a day following full-back Tyrone Mears' capture.
Fletcher has agreed a four-year contract with the Clarets, who will pay the SPL club double their previous record fee having shelled out £1.5m for both Martin Paterson and Chris Eagles last year.
The forward was named Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year in 2007-08 and attracted the interest of Celtic earlier this year.
Mears, meanwhile, has signed for around £500,000 after spending time on loan at Marseille last season.
Mears, 26, is looking for a change of luck in the top flight after a shattering experience in the 2007-08 season.
He was part of the Derby side that finished bottom of the table with an all-time low tally of 11 points.

Very nice thank you, how was your half bag of chips you found in the bin at the bus stop? Had a wash this week,or are you having trouble finding soap? You're the diddy who started on celtic, Whats wrong is your wee sister making a statement too the social worker?

Hefty mindless abuse towards Celtic supporters.
You just make yourselves look bad with your abuse....chill out guys please.
P.S. Celtic and Wanegurs would easily survive EPL will you?
Celtic and Wanegurs under achievers???looool...learn your facts.
HAIL HAIL!!!!
sherbert- Burnley were the !st British club to reach the 1/4 finals (last 8)of the european cup in 1961. We have won the league (a competitive one with more than 2 possible winners)twice. Last time we played you your fans disgraced themselves in the worst example of beastial violence I have ever witnessed. Perhaps you were the 30 year old savage i saw headbutt a 10 year old boy in the face for wearing a Burnley scarf. For the record , we whipped your @rse at turf moor and at celtic park. rather be perpetual over achievers of modest means than wealthy perpetual underachievers.
sherbet_d u guys only get to play european football because your league is so poor and when you guys get to perform on the big stage you always fail to perform ...fact!
if you were in the EPL or even Championship I think you would struggle a lot as your not really that good!
Good signing by Burnley, good young player with a lot of potential, will he hack the EPL,only time will tell......
Sherbet ya manky beggar, who are the Champions of Scotland?,,not you muppets,Glasgow Rangers!....
Get it right up yae and have a double on me!=-)

HAIL HAIL!
you are a good laugh sherbert, think you need to put the brakes on the white powder though, we are founder members of this fine league so i think we have a fair say, and so i say again no nay never to cel p rick stay where you are or go to iceland with your mates mum, and again Fail Fail the King is in England, even setanta could not sell your manure to farmers. Fail Fail
This is a wise move from owen fletcher mccormack and clarkston can only improve in england.
