William Gallas maintains he has no intentions of leaving Arsenal this summer.
The veteran defender, 32 in August, has endured something of a difficult spell since arriving from Chelsea two years ago.
Manager Arsene Wenger eventually replaced Gallas as captain with Cesc Fabregas following public criticism of the young squad and reports of a bust-up with centre-half partner Kolo Toure. However, somewhat ironically, the Frenchman then went on to produce a string of consistent displays as the Gunners found some form over the latter part of the campaign before missing the closing weeks because of injury.
Gunners boss Wenger, though, continued to give Gallas his full support, denying suggestions Gallas had played his last game for the Gunners - but the arrival of young Belgian Thomas Vermaelen have seen rumours of a summer move to Italy and reunion with his old Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan.
However, Gallas insists he is fully focused on the new campaign ahead with the Gunners.
"I am at Arsenal, my contract is still valid for a year, so I am an Arsenal player," Gallas told Sky Sports. "We have not talked about renewing the contract, but I am relaxed and looking forward to next season with Arsenal."

Has everyone that is Arsenal Forgotten Birmingham he thinks he is bigger than the club He should go please dont tell me we cant buy better than Gallas or we are in real trouble!!!!!!
gallas is a great guy i like so much and by the way he is a great proffesional.thank God he is stayin with us.
In spite of all his flaws he took it all on the chin and got on with it as a true professional. If nothing else he deserves our respect for this! Fact is, had stayed fit until the end of the season, we might have got something out of the FA cup or Champions League. So all in all I'm glad he's staying with us!
Gallas gives his all, with a passion that's sometimes been lacking on Gunners' squads of late. And he's a rock when he's on. Didn't the Gunners enjoy their best spell when he resurrected? And the man can score the occasional goal, too.
Gallas, who never said he will leave arsenal has now pledged his future to them. Just like he never said he would (so stupidly) re-align with mourinho with whom he had an open fall-out. Typical football news.
shame would like him to go
