Hearts have signed Spanish winger Suso Santana on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old, who spent last season on loan with Spanish second-tier outfit Fuerteventura, has agreed to join the Tynecastle club after his contract with Tenerife lapsed.
Suso said: "I like to take players on one versus one and provide the final pass into the box. I am a quick player, and an aggressive player."
He added: "Everybody likes to score goals and I am like everyone. I scored nine goals last season at Fuerteventura.
"In the Spanish second division there is a similarity with the physicality and I will have to get used to that straight away in Scotland."
Suso is also looking forward to tasting European competition for the first time when Hearts begin their Europa League campaign in two months.
"It is very exciting to be involved in this sort of competition," he said.
"I want to work hard and help the club do as well as possible."
