Rookie Swansea striker Chris Jones has joined League Two outfit Grimsby on trial.

The 19-year-old Wales youth international has opted to try his luck at Blundell Park after failing to break into the Swans` first-team.

Jones signed his first professional contract in 2006 and was handed his senior debut by former boss Kenny Jackett in a Carling Cup tie against Walsall.

  1. swansea should get young talented machado from st-estienne and vera from sevilla atlantic. Also since lita is released from Reading I think we should get him if we can. Also Jordi Lopez fom QPR and Varela from Reocreativo. Attacker Borja or defender m.Ramos. With theses players added on the squad we can get to the premiership. Swansea City should take my advice because it will be one of the hardest championship for them and they need new faces for promotion. There are 10 teams looking for promotion. please swansea get them for your own benefit.
