Carlisle defender Tony Kane has committed his future to the club by signing a two-year contract.

The 21-year-old right-back, a former Blackburn trainee, will remain at Brunton Park until the summer of 2011.

He told the club`s official website: "It is good to be able to get this done and get on with things.

"I have enjoyed my time with United and it is good to be able to settle down and hopefully kick on from here."
