Miguel Angel Llera expects Charlton to be challenging for promotion next season despite some stiff competition in League One.

The Spanish defender this week became Addicks boss Phil Parkinson's first signing of the summer when he joined from MK Dons, and he has his sights set on a successful campaign.

"The next year is going to be hard," he said. "There are some massive clubs in this league like Norwich, Southampton and Leeds, so it's going to be tough.

"But Charlton is a massive team and the manager is a good man, and a good professional. I think together we can try and go for promotion."
