Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock is set to ditch his policy of not naming a goalkeeper on the bench next season - which could scupper Darryl Flahavan's chances of a move away from south London.
Flahavan, understudy to Eagles number one Julian Speroni, has become frustrated at his lack of first-team action and has been told he can leave Selhurst Park.
But with clubs allowed seven substitutes from next season, Warnock will now have room for a keeper on the bench and will need a replacement for Flahavan before letting the 30-year-old former Southend man go.
"Obviously with the number of substitutes we can name next season there is more scope for me to name a sub keeper and that's a big possibility for us," Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser.
"We would need to have a keeper lined up before we let Darryl leave - mainly because we do not have enough players to fill the other two slots."

just use the young boys for that job they be fine sitting on bench and then a game now and again saves money and moaning in the end
But . . . Darryl Sucks. We need a decent sub keeper, Darryl is league 1 standard at best.
If thats the case then keep Darryl
