Doncaster midfielder Martin Woods will miss the first two weeks of pre-season training after undergoing surgery to resolve a double hernia injury.

The 23-year-old, a regular for Sean O'Driscoll's side last season, will not report back with his team-mates at Cantley Park for summer training next Monday.

O'Driscoll said: "He'll hopefully be able to run when the pre-season starts, but he'll be a couple of weeks later than the rest of the squad in joining in full training."
