Bolton produced a stunning performance to hammer Doncaster 5-0 in their latest pre-season friendly, with Johan Elmander bagging a brace.Sean O'Driscoll's Championship side beat Newcastle 1-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday but they were put to the sword by a rampant Bolton.

Kevin Davies opened the scoring with a header after five minutes before summer signing Elmander made it 2-0 six minutes later as he struck a powerful drive past Neil Sullivan from 20 yards.

Fabrice Muamba, another new arrival, then scored from even further out with a ferocious strike on 33 minutes.

Joey O'Brien got in on the act two minutes later and it was another excellent finish as he curled a volley home from the edge of the area.

Bolton could not reach quite the same level in the second half but Elmander showed his class again with a second of the night on 72 minutes.
