Huddersfield Town boss Stan Ternent has called on his players to "stake their claim" for a place in his Terriers side this season.Town step up their preparations for the new campaign by facing Sheffield United on Saturday before the visit of Premiership big-guns Arsenal on Wednesday.
New signing Gary Roberts is set to make his debut against the Blades and Ternent is looking forward to the challenge of facing improved opposition.
"Sheffield United are a good team, one of the favourites to win promotion out of the Championship, and it will be a real test for us - but we are looking forward to it," Ternent told the club's official website.
"It will be nice to play on our own pitch for the first time and places are still up for grabs, so it's up to the players to stake their claim for a shirt.
"We've been creating numerous chances in games, so I'd like to see us working on little bits and pieces within the team as the game progresses."
