Wasps' pre-season preparations have been rocked by an Achilles injury to prop Jason Hobson that will see their new signing sidelined for up to six months.
The one-cap England international (pictured) ruptured his Achilles in training and has undergone surgery ahead of a six-month rehabilitation programme. .
Wasps are currently training in Poland and had better news on England trio Danny Cipriani, Tom Rees and Paul Sackey.
Fly-half Cipriani, who has been dropped to the Saxons squad, had a plate removed from his right ankle in early July and is due to be fully fit ahead of the Guinness Premiership start on the weekend of September 4-6.
Openside Rees also looks set to be ready for the start of the new campaign after surgery to repair a labrum tear in his shoulder, as does wing Sackey, who is recovering from a broken leg sustained last season
